Publix is committed to helping you save money. We offer weekly specials, buy-one-get-one free promotions, and accept Publix, manufacturer’s, and competitor’s coupons. When you add all these together, you can see why customers “Love to Save Here.” So that all of our customers can benefit from these deals, we reserve the right to limit purchase quantities. The types of coupons we accept:

  • Manufacturer’s coupons, Publix coupons, Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors (a list of which are posted at each Publix store).
  • Coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only.

Our acceptance guidelines:

  • Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon.
  • We only accept coupons for identical items we sell.
  • We only accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor’s coupon on the same item. Maximum of two coupons per item.
  • Manufacturer’s digital offers cannot be combined with manufacturer’s paper coupons on the purchase of the same item.
  • We do not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons.
  • We do not accept coupons that Publix determines to be printed incorrectly. For example, a coupon missing a size requirement or other standard coupon details.
  • We do not accept coupons presented via a mobile phone or device.
  • We do not accept coupons that appear to be copied. All coupons must be originals.
  • For a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate purchase.
  • We limit coupon redemption to eight of the same coupons per day, per household.
  • Manager’s approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.
  • Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor’s coupon per day, per household. The total order before coupons must be equal to or greater than the combined purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented. We consider competitor’s coupons for dollars off groups of items to be a dollars-off-total-order coupon and will only allow one per day, per household.
  • Money due back to the customer at the end of a transaction involving coupons will only be provided on a Publix gift card.

Our management teams will only issue rain checks for items which are advertised outside the store at a reduced retail. For example, on radio or TV, or in our weekly ad, co-op ad, mailer, or Internet site.

  • We will only issue one rain check, per day, per household for an item.
  • We will not issue rain checks for Publix, competitor’s, or manufacturer’s coupons.

Publix has posted some changes to their FAQs:

OFFICIAL Publix FAQs are published to their website here

Clarification of FAQs given to employees during training (NOT OFFICIAL):

(Please note that these are NOT the published FAQs, these are notes posted in the employee break room and used to train cashiers on the new policy.  I find it very helpful to know how they are training their employees regarding the policy.  You can read the official FAQs here)

Again, this is NOT what is posted on their site, this was what was given out for training, you need to check with your local store to find out how they will handle things.  This is only for reference.

**NOTE:  I HAVE REMOVED THE ABOVE CONTENT**
Although I clearly indicated that this was NOT the official policy and was ONLY information that was used for training in some stores and to ask your specific store for clarification, it appears that this has caused some confusion which is never my intention.  I personally found the information helpful to know how each scenario was being viewed or explained.   As discussed on our chat page at length, there is going to be a period of confusion and/or clarification on the new policy at the store level.  This is why Publix has extended a “grace period” to familiarize the customers and staff with how things will go.  Your best bet is to ALWAYS ask your store manager for clarification to understand the policy clearly and to know how they will handle a particular situation.

Walmart BOGO Ad Matching in Florida is CHANGING!
LAST CHANCE DEALS!

By now, most of us has heard that beginning October 1st (or 6th depending on your store) BOGO ad matching in Florida will fall in line with the National Ad Match Policy.  What this means for those of us in Florida is that they will NO LONGER ad match at the lower Walmart price.   They will ad match BOGO deals at the “up to price” listed in the competitors ad.

In my opinion this STINKS because I now have no reason to ad match at Walmart.  I would much rather go to Publix or Winn Dixie where I can get the BOGO deals, stack a store (or competitor) coupon and a manufacturers coupon on each item PLUS use a $5 off coupon if I have one.

With the recent changes to the Publix Coupon Policy where they will be limiting the number of deals that you can do to allow more people the opportunity to score the deal, I personally will be happily heading back to Publix for the majority of my grocery shopping.

Here are some LAST CHANCE DEALS that I think are worth scoring before this new Walmart policy goes into effect on October 1st:

Winn Dixie Ad Match Deals (must score by Tuesday, 9/30)

These are the BEST DEALS that I think are worth scoring before the ad match deals end.  Personally I will be getting the Natures Own Bread, Doritos, Peanut Butter and Pompiean Olive Oil for sure even without coupons since this stuff is usually really expensive!

~Freebies ~ Cheapies ~ Hot Deals ~

Publix Ad Match Deals (must score by Tuesday, 9/30 or 10/1 if your store isn’t changing on 10/1)

These are the BEST DEALS that I think are worth scoring at Publix before the ad match deals end.

~FREEBIES ~ CHEAPIES ~ HOT DEALS~

I have posted an internal memo from Walmart on our chat page outlining this information.  It has also been confirmed on the Walmart Facebook Page and signs are popping up in stores.  The date that it goes into effect at your store may vary from October 1st – 6th.

NEW Winn Dixie Coupon Policy as of September 21, 2014!!

Breaking news!  A NEW Winn Dixie Coupon Policy has been released!

This is actually pretty exciting to me because Winn Dixie has FINALLY released a coupon policy that addresses the acceptance of Competitor Coupons.   Many of us were lucky to be in areas that accepted Competitor Coupons but others were not.

**AS ALWAYS WITH WINN DIXIE, the policy and what they will allow will vary by store.  It is best to go into your local Winn Dixie to find out if they are accepting competitor coupons and get a copy of their particular guidelines.  The below guidelines were posted in my local store and others have reported the same.   There are stores that do not have these guidelines posted so you need to do your homework and find out what your store is doing.

This was posted in my LOCAL STORE and many others throughout Florida have the same posted in their store:

General

  • Store Management has the right to accept, decline, or limit the quantity of coupons and/or items purchased in a single transaction or in a single day, by a single customer.
  • Winn Dixie will accept manufacturer coupons (limit one per item), or Winn Dixie coupons (one per item) or valid internet coupons (one per item) or competitor coupons (one per item with a limit of 10).
  • Only original coupons will be accepted.  Copies or coupons on mobile devices will not be accepted.
  • To ensure product availability for all customers, Winn Dixie limits redemption to (5) five like coupons for the same item in the same day per customer.  For example, if you have six of the same coupon and have purchased six items, we will only accept five of the coupons.
  • A manufacturer coupon and a store coupon can be used on the same item in the same transaction.
  • A manufacturer coupon cannot be used on the same item as an electronic coupon.  An electronic coupon is linked to the Customer Reward Card and deducts automatically at the register when the required purchase is made.
  • Winn Dixie does not accept any type of coupon for “Make a Meal or What a Deal” free items.
  • The total coupon value cannot exceed the price of the item.  No cash back will be given nor will cash back be applied to other purchases.

Competitor’s Coupons

  • Winn Dixie accepts competitors BOGO coupons, one coupon per like item, per day, per customer
  • Winn Dixie accepts competitors store brand coupons one coupon per like item per day per customer
  • Winn Dixie will not match competitor advertised prices.  The advertised offer must include the word “coupon” to be redeemed as competitor coupon.
  • Winn Dixie will redeem competitor coupons for money off an entire transaction, one coupon per customer per day.  Winn Dixie will not redeem competitor coupons for percentages off of order totals.
  • Local competitors are defined as any grocery retailer in the local marketing area who sells like items.  Coupons from club retailers such as SAM’s, Costco and BJ’s will not be honored

See your local Winn Dixie store for more details.

Effective September 21, 2014

The Winn Dixie Coupon Policy posted on their website still does not address competitor coupons.  You will need to see your local store for their particular policy and to see what they have posted.  CLICK HERE for their line policy.

At this point, I would stop in at your local store and ask for a copy of the new policy just to make sure that all stores are the same.  This has been released in many markets so the good news is that it looks like ALL STORES will be accepting Competitor Coupons but we just don’t know.   Also, Winn Dixie isn’t always known for being consistent in all stores, so it is important that you do your research at your local store to confirm what they are doing at this point.

As always, make sure you check in on our facebook fan page or our facebook chat page to say hi and hang out with all of your coupon freak friends and chat about this! We are having a blast over there!

Possible changes to the Publix Coupon Policy. Don’t freak out!

policy changes

For weeks we have heard rumors of changes to the Publix Coupon Policy.  Some areas have already started putting restrictions on the number of deals that can be done on the hot sale items.    In my opinion these changes are not a HUGE deal and will give more people the opportunity to score deals.   I spoke directly with the District Manager in my area and he said that they are having a meeting next week to discuss the changes, but the Miami area has already released these new guidelines.   Keep in mind that these are subject to change, but it appears that these will be the changes to the coupon policy and will be across the board in all stores effective October 1st.

*Note: There will be a grace period between October 1st and October 18th for people to adjust to these changes*

Publix Coupon Policy Changes
