The holidays are almost here! If you have not found the time to whip up a cute craft or two, the clock is ticking! Today, we have a simple and inexpensive craft for you to enjoy that you can create using all dollar store supplies. It is a lot easier than you may think, and the end result is a piece you can use for years to come. This reindeer treat jar is the perfect last minute holiday craft that you won’t want to miss. Take a look below at how to make your own.

Reindeer Treat Jar

Supplies needed:
Round vase
Black, red paint
Red pipe cleaners
Green ribbon
Feather boa
Craft paint

As mentioned our local dollar store carried everything we need. Check your own closets before you go as you might already have quite a few of these supplies in your crafting stash!

Directions:
1. Begin by making the face on your vase. We made simple finger prints using craft paint for the eyes and nose. If you want extra details in your eyes like ours has, just make a tiny white paint speck in each.
2. Wrap some green ribbon around the top or the “head” of the reindeer. Secure with glue or tie tightly.
3. Glue a small fluff of boa feather to the front of the face.
4. Glue a pair of antlers on, using your pipe cleaners of course. Bend and twist them as we did so they look more natural.

Now all you need to do is fill this little guy with treats! He would look great filled with chocolate kisses or even a battery operated votive. How cute is that? So don’t wait, you still have time to craft. Give this simple reindeer treat jar a try and see how easy it is to get festive for less.

When you are done, come see us on the Facebook page or Community Chat page so you can brag about what you created. We would love to see it!

Happy crafting!
