Tasty Tuesday!! Easy Chicken Pot Pie Casserole!

Chicken pot pie casserole

Here’s a great recipe to make use of the Pillsbury deal going on right now!

   Delicious, creamy, rich, and filling- this dish is sure to be a hit at your dinner table on Sunday night or any other night of the week.  It’s also affordable-made from ingredients that are inexpensive or may already be a part of your stockpile. Why not make a double batch of filling, put it in a freezer to oven safe dish, and have a ready-made meal for another night.  Pull it from freezer in the morning,  bake for 10 minutes, remove , add topping, and bake another 10 minutes.

Chicken Pot Pie Casserole

1 can cream of chicken soup

½ can milk (use chicken soup can)

½ tsp. pepper

2 cups cooked chicken –shredded

1 tsp. garlic salt

½ cup diced onion

2 cups mixed frozen vegetables

1 Tbsp. butter

1 Tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 375°

In a large saucepan combine all ingredients.  Cook on medium for 5 minutes. Pour into 8×12 pan sprayed with non-stick spray.  Set aside.

For Topping:

1 can biscuits, each cut into ¼‘s

2 Tbsp. melted butter

2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese

½ tsp. garlic salt

In a bowl toss butter, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and biscuits. Coat well. Drop into filling mixture, covering top. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes until biscuit tops are golden brown.
