In just a few days Valentine’s Day will be here, it with it will come sweet notes and greetings of all sorts. This year, why not make a fun and decorative box to put them in? This is a great activity to do with the kids or to even just make for yourself. Using just a few household and dollar store supplies, you can whip up a box in no time. There is no easier way to keep your cards organized, and there is no cuter way either. Take a look at how to get started.

Valentine’s Day Card Box

Supplies needed:
Small, empty cardboard box
Valentine’s Day scrapbook paper
Foam hearts or stickers
Scissors
Craft glue

As mentioned, we had all of these items either around our home or could find them at our local dollar store. Our total cost for this project was less than $2. Now that is a great value!

Directions:
1. Wrap the paper around your empty box. Cut it to fit and then secure with craft glue. Leave one end of the box open, as that is where you will need to put your cards.
2. Add a dab of glue to some foam hearts or stickers and begin embellishing the box. You can keep things simple as we did or go crazy! The choice is up to you and your personal tastes.
3. Stand your box up and it is now ready for cards. How simple was that?

You can use any size box you wish, any stickers you wish, and any extra detail you wish such as ribbon or glitter even. Kids will love creating their own Valentine’s Day card box that they can keep their special greetings in, and you will love creating some Valentine’s Day decor on a dime.
