Hey friends! Are you just wild about washi tape? Seriously, is there anything you can’t do with it? I think not. The ideas are endless and only limited by your own mind. This week, let’s enjoy a thrifty Tuesday and give our votive candles a little pizazz. Why not dress up your votives with a bit of washi tape for a look that is colorful and fun? Take a look below at how we did this and added some simple (and cheap!) color to our week.

Supplies needed:
Metal votives
Washi tape
Scissors…if needed

We found everything we needed at our local dollar store. You can also check your local craft store or Walmart for these supplies as well. You can find assorted roles of washi tape for as low as $1, so grab a variety and really get crafting!

Directions:
1. Cut a length of washi tape and wrap it around the votive. You want it to be flush on the metal, and nowhere near the flame.
2. Cut the tape to fit the votive nicely. You don’t want any uneven edges, but instead a nice and clean look.
3. Now just light your votive as usual. Instead of being a boring candle, it is now a colorful and creative decor piece.

Seriously, how simple was that? This is a great idea if you want votives on the table for a baby or bridal shower, or if you are just jazzing up a garden party. Give this simple washi tape votive craft a try, it is so easy.
