Finally! The State of Florida has released the TAX FREE WEEKEND DATES and rules for 2017!
HOW IT WORKS:
During the weekend of August 4th through 6th you will NOT pay any Sales Tax on the following items:
- CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES – up to $60 each item
- FOOTWEAR – up to $60 per pair only
- SCHOOL SUPPLIES – up to $15 each item
- PERSONAL COMPUTERS & ACCESSORIES – up to $750 each item
USING COUPONS ON TAX FREE WEEKEND:
There are NO RESTRICTIONS on the use of coupons during Tax Free Weekend so pull out those coupons to maximize your savings!
LAYAWAY DURING SALES TAX WEEKEND:
Eligible items put on layaway during the weekend WILL qualify for the exemption if you:
Accept delivery of the merchandise during the sales tax holiday period, or
put an eligible item on layaway, even if final payment is made after the sales tax holiday period.
