Does your refrigerator look a little CRAY, CRAY?

Are you on a mission to get organized? Then you probably needed a highly visual, easily manageable and supremely FUNCTIONAL area where you could put important things like:

  • Receipts for items that need to be returned
  • School and sports schedules
  • Shopping lists
  • Invitations
  • To Do lists

And more to help keep your household running smoothly.  Refrigerators are a great way to display things if you like them falling off every time you close the door, being removed by prying hands and getting wet from the in door water dispenser.

Bring on the Family Organization Station

To make your station you’ll need

  • Cord Board (one piece for each member of your family)
  • Double Sided Wall tape
  • Push Pins
  • and an ideal spot

Assembly

Clean the surface where you’ll be applying your tiles and let dry completely. Peel back the double sided tape and attach it to 5 points on the individual cork board and select a layout that appeals to you.  The double sided tape is exceedingly STICKY, so make sure you have each board where you want it before applying. A quick tip, if you have to REMOVE the boards use a little olive oil, rub it on the sticky spot then wipe the area with a sponge and dish soap.  After your boards are attached to the wall you can pretty them up by using your double sided tape to attach family member’s name to their respective board. Easy!

The board system works so much better because it all stays put, it’s in a location where it will be seen and actually work as a reminder and the boards aren’t big enough to get totally cluttered.  Everyone’s information in the household stays put on their own board so nothing get mixed up or covered up by someone else’s.

So if your family needs a little more organization grab some cork boards, clear off the refrigerator and create a family organization station!
