PUBLIX Gas Card Scenarios!! What is your plan of action?

This week at Publix we will have a coupon in the sales flyer for $10.00 off a $50.00 Gas Card when you buy $50 in groceries (before coupons)! This deal is ONLY good on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We LOVE gas card weeks, any way you look at it you are going to get $10 in free gas when you do your shopping so that is a deal in itself!
I like to try to do scenarios using the weekly deals to bring my OOP as low as possible including a $50 Gas Card. I mean really.. I have to get gas anyways.. I might as well try to get some freebies in there somehow too right?
So here are a few scenarios that I put together.
Please keep in mind that many Publix stores are different in the number of coupons that they allow you to use, the $$ off coupons that you can use and other variables. It has been reported that some stores will consider the $10 off gas card coupon just like a regular $$ off coupon and not allow you to use an additional $ off coupon unless you purchase an additional $30 or $50 in groceries. I have not personally experienced this, but we will see what happens when the ad starts. I am receiving conflicting answers from the Publix corporate call center. If that is the case, try to throw in some additional money makers if you can find them like the vitamins. Please make sure you comply with your store rules or switch it up to what works for you. These are simply suggestions to get you started. You can work on some other scenarios to find better deals including items that you plan to purchase already. I just calculated these to give you an idea of what you might want to do. You will notice that I did NOT include very many scenarios including the Sundown Vitamins, although these are a HUGE money maker as well as the Chapstick deal, it will be VERY difficult for anyone to find these products since they have been money makers all week. If you do find them and you want to use them in your scenario instead, jump on it! As always.. it is YOUR responsibility to make sure these coupons don’t have any restrictions that I missed. I do my best to check them but it is a lot of work figuring out the deals and I don’t have all coupons in front of me 🙂
