10 Awesome Ways to Use a Can of Biscuits
You’ve got a refrigerator full of canned biscuits, now what? Think outside the can! Besides just using them as well….. Biscuits. Here is a whole list of new ways you can use them. (And a lot of them are great for back to school lunches, so keep this list handy!)
1. Muffin Cup Pizza’s -Flatten biscuits, press into bottom and sides of muffin tin cup, add a couple teaspoons of sauce, a sprinkle of cheese, and a couple pepperoni’s or any fillings you like. Bake for 10 minutes at 375°. What a fun way for kids to get in on the cooking, let them create their own little deep dish masterpieces!
2. Fried Donuts– Remove donuts from can poke hole in center about ¾ inches, Fry in oil over medium heat for about a minute, flip with fork. Remove from oil, drain, and dip donuts in powdered sugar or a cinnamon- sugar mixture.
3. Cheesy Pigs in a Blanket– Flatten biscuit, wrap around hot dog, and a slice of cheese. On a greased a cookie sheet-bake in 375° oven for 10 minutes. Serve with ketchup and mustard for dipping.
4. Mini Monkey Bread– Heat oven to 375°, spray a 6 hole muffin tin. Chop biscuits into 4-6 pieces- roll in a ¼ cup sugar and 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon mixture. Drop biscuit pieces into muffin cups, distributing evenly. In a small saucepan melt ½ stick of butter (4 Tbsp.) and 2/3 cup brown sugar. Cook about 2 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved. Drizzle over biscuit pieces. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Mini Apple Pies– Flatten biscuit, spoon 2 Tbsp. apple Pie filling into center, fold over, and crimp edges with a fork. You can bake at 375° for 10 minutes or fry in a pan of oil over medium heat until golden brown.
6. Meat Pies– Flatten biscuit, spoon 2 Tbsp. your choice of chicken or ground beef, seasonings, and vegetables into center, fold over and crimp edges closed with a fork. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
7. Bread Sticks– Roll biscuit long like a snake, twist, dip in melted butter and garlic salt. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
8. Mini Breakfast Bowls- Flatten biscuits, press into bottom and sides of muffin cups, bake at 375° for 5-6 minutes, remove from oven. Spoon any of the following into your biscuit bowls; scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, or cheese. Place back in oven for additional 5 minutes
9. Ham and Cheese Pockets– Flatten biscuits, fill center with diced ham and shredded cheese, fold over and press edges closed with a fork. Bake in 375° oven for 10-11 minutes
10. Mini Garlic Monkey Bread– Chop each biscuit into 4-6 pieces. Spray a 6 cup muffin tin with non-stick spray. Mix 2 Tbsp. melted butter with 1 ½ tsp. garlic salt, 2 tsp. dried parsley, and 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese. Toss biscuit pieces in butter mixture. Distribute pieces evenly throughout cups. Bake at 400° for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with grated parmesan.
