Over the next few days, you’re going to notice quite the increase in Amazon posting. We’re going to focus on the Lightning Deals, and these move EXTREMELY quickly. These usually start after 2pm each day and will go well into the evening so get ready!!
What is a Lightning Deal, you ask?
Instead of operating like a typical store and running one big holiday ad, Amazon takes the items that they will be putting on sale and post them randomly- for SEVEN weeks! They post different ones every FIFTEEN minutes! These items are usually the same HOT selling items that are in retail stores at LOW prices! You will want to really watch for these deals. This is when you can score gifts SUPER CHEAP and get most of your Christmas shopping done early! I have done this for a couple of years now and hundreds of people have done just about all of their holiday shopping online and jumped in on the lightning deals.

Every morning, you will be able to access a preview of the day’s deals here: Countdown to Black Friday Lightning Deals. Some items will give details and a price, others will give details with a price to be announced, and others will simply give a clue as to what the item might be. All items will have a start time listed. The start time is in Pacific Standard Time.
If you are lucky enough to snag a deal, you will have fifteen minutes to decide if you want the deal and check out or the item will go to someone on the waitlist (see below). If you see something you might want, CLAIM THE DEAL as fast as you can, then decide if you really want it.
If an item is sold out, you may be provided with a ‘Join Waitlist’ option. Don’t be discouraged, many that qualify for the waitlist become eligible to order the item. This simply means that someone else hit the BUY button before you did and they sold out . Since everyone has fifteen minutes to decide if they want the item, you will have a certain number who decide not to buy which releases it to someone on the waitlist. Keep the Amazon page open and watch in the upper right hand corner for a box to pop up with a link to order.
You are typically only given ten minutes to complete checkout before the item goes to another person on the waitlist.

I look forward to this every year. You will find it to be such a RUSH to anticipate a deal, see it coming, wait for it to go live then snag your deal! Some items will be SO MUCH CHEAPER than you can find anywhere else that you will be SHOCKED at the deal that you scored! You will often see Black Friday prices well before Thanksgiving. During the actual Black Friday week they will have more crazy deals than you can keep up with. Rest assured that we will keep you up to date and on all of the hot deals as they pop up!

2. Log into your account and verify that all of your information is up to date before making a purchase.
3. Consider signing up for Amazon Prime. For $79 per year, Amazon Prime gives you free, 2-day shipping on any order (and a WHOLE SLEW of other perks). Because the deals are staggered, it can cost a fortune to come up with the $35 minimum order for free shipping. Check it out- you may get lucky and be eligible for a free trial that will bring you thru your holiday shopping!
