Celebrate just waking up!
Each day that you open your eyes and take a breath is worth celebrating. Before you even get out of bed and start your day, say a prayer of thanks. Let the sun hit your face and allow yourself to smile a big old smile. A small cheer, hand clap, or even shoulder pat is also perfectly ok. You are alive and well, and THAT is worth celebrating!
Celebrate your blessings.
Do you have food on the table? A roof on your head? If so, celebrate! You are certainly blessed and in the grand scheme of things, doing pretty well. Eat that food on a fancy plate, use the “good napkins” typically saved for guests. Put a new wreath on your front door or say a prayer of thanks while dusting. Enjoy and embrace your blessings. They may seem small to you, but they are huge to someone without.
Celebrate your family.
Did one of your children master a skill? Celebrate with cupcakes at dinner. Did your spouse have a great day at work? Celebrate with his or her favorite pasta. A simple meal, a vase of wild flowers, or even a back massage is a great way to celebrate accomplishments no matter how big or small they seem.
