With the holidays ahead of us, you might find yourself opening your home up to dinner guests. Hosting guests isn’t easy, and in fact can be quite expensive if you aren’t careful. This year, why not save a few pennies by creating your own holiday napkin rings? These napkin rings are so easy to make, and they are sure to add a pop of color and holiday charm to your table. You don’t need to be super crafty to make them, and all of the supplies you need can be found at your local Dollar Tree. Take a peek at how you can make your own and really impress your guests this year for less!
Easy Holiday Napkin Rings
Supplies Needed:
Glitter foam (sold in a package of six different colors, take a peek in the craft supply aisle)
Holiday ribbon, thin
Hot glue, glue gun
Scissors
As we mentioned we found ALL of our supplies at our local Dollar Tree store. Our final cost for this project? Just $2!
Directions:
1. Cut your glitter foam into 2 inch wide strips. Each strip should be about 4 inches long with plenty of length for rolling into your ring.
2. Roll the foam into the ring shape, and add a dab of hot glue underneath one end. Press the end to secure it.
3. Cut a length of thin ribbon and wrap it around the ring to fit. Add a dab of glue to the end and press it to the ring to secure it.
Where you choose to go with this project from here is up to you. You can add additional embellishments as found at your Dollar Tree. This includes stickers, foam shapes, faux jewels and more. We left ours simple as it best fit with our decor, but you can do yours however you wish! Get creative, and above all have fun.
So what can you come up with? If you try this project or make your own variation of it, take a picture and share it with us on our Facebook Page or Community Chat Page! Better yet, why not take a picture of your holiday table adorned with your newly crafted napkin rings?
So gather your supplies and get crafty! You are sure to create something fun for your holiday table while saving a little cash in the process.
Happy crafting!
