Just posting this is making me want to go brew up a pot and make an iced coffee, haha!
Just had a conversation with Teresa, one of our friends on facebook who was
concerned about canceling services after purchasing the coffee pot. I
wanted to make sure that I was clear on what the process is so that
there is no confusion for anyone. When I received my coffee pot I went
online and suspended any future shipments. This would allow my account
to remain open in the event that I decided to purchase more but Gevalia
would not send me any more coffee unless I ordered it. Since there was a
discussion about how difficult it would be to cancel completely, I
decided to “test” this out myself. I called the 800 number and spoke
with a gentleman with a foreign accent who was very pleasant. He
informed me that I could cancel in one of three ways. 1. I could go
to the website and click on contact us, I would receive a drop down menu
where I could select CANCEL MEMBERSHIP and fill out the form. 2. I
could return the slip that was included in my shipment that said Cancel
Membership. 3. I could call the 800 number like I did and speak to a
representative who will offer you a discount on future shipments but
could cancel the membership completely if I decided to do that. I
wanted to see how difficult it would be to cancel so I told him that I
wanted to cancel completely. He asked what I was not satisfied with and
I told him that we drink A LOT of coffee in our home and it was just
not financially feasible for me to purchase that much coffee from them.
He offered me a discount to stay with them which I declined, and gladly
canceled my membership completely. He stated that I could reactivate
at anytime or start a new membership in the future. Very easy and not
painful. I kind of wish I didn’t cancel now since I love everything
about Gevalia, haha!
So that is the process, I took one for the team and it was nothing short
of pleasurable. I hope this helps anyone with any questions about the
procedure.
