DIY Vintage Book Ornament
Supplies needed:
Clear glass bulb (sold at most craft stores for around $1 each)
Old book (make sure it is one you are willing to tear. A thrift store is a great place to find old books!)
That’s it. Don’t you love when projects only require two supplies? I sure do!
Directions:
This is so easy. Just tear or cut your pages of your book into skinny strips. Stuff them into the opening of the ornament and replace the top to close it off. If you wish, you can add a little fine glitter for some extra sparkle and some ribbon or yard for hanging.
Last year, I had a friend who adored the Twilight Series. So I found a copy of one of the Twilight books at a thrift store and made her a set of these, filled with the pages of the books she loved so much. It was a lot of fun, frugal to make, and she loved it! This year, she is traveling to France and so I thought an old book full of French writings would be fun to use. Find ways to make the pages you use personal and meaningful to the recipient and you can’t go wrong.
