Mother’s Day is only 48 hours away, and if you are still looking for some fun and frugal last minute gifts, this DIY project is for you! This tuna can trinket holder is perfect for little hands top craft, and the end result is a purposeful and pretty trinket holder that anyone can use. You only need a few supplies, so take a look below at how to get busy making your own. Hurry, time is ticking!
Supplies needed:
Empty tuna can
Scrapbook paper
Twine or ribbon
Glue
Directions:
1. Begin by cleaning the tuna can well and drying it well.
2. Cut a strip of scrapbook paper to fit and secure it to the can with glue. Trim off any access paper.
3. Tie a length of twine around the can and secure it to the front in a bow.
Now all you need to do is put a faux plant, some fun jewelry, or little love notes inside. This tuna can trinket holder can hold just about anything that is special and needs special keeping. Children will love crafting this, and you will love that it just costs pennies to make.
Gather your supplies and give this last minute Mother’s Day gift a try. It is one that is so fun and frugal. If you want a little extra pop to go with it, make sure you take a look at the paint chip flowers we made earlier in the week. They make the perfect pair! As always, when you are done share your work with us on the Facebook page or Community Chat page.
Happy Mother’s Day!
