NOW is the perfect time to start thinking ahead for the Holidays!
I know it seems really early to some of you, but trust me when I tell you, if you start now you will be AMAZED at the savings! I am going to do a new segment on the website where I highlight some crazy deals as I find them as well as some tips to get ahead of the game.
Here are a few tips and tricks that I use to maximize my savings and be fully prepared before the holidays arrive:
- Make a list of everyone that you
plan to give a gift to this year. Include children, spouse, family
members, teachers or anyone else that you will be giving a gift to. I
use a spiral notebook and leave two spaces between each name so that I
have plenty of space to write in the gifts that I get in advance.
- Find a location in your home that you can hide presents as you get them and make a commitment NOT to give the gifts to your children or family members before the holidays. That the was by far the hardest thing for me!

Right now as I look up at my swagbucks bar, I have 4410 bucks which is almost enough for me to buy TEN $5.00 Amazon Gift Cards and I didn’t do anything different than I usually do!

SIGN UP FOR JC Penney Emails and Info. I FREQUENTLY get $10.00 off $10.00 coupons in the mail. Since the Minimum purchase is $10.00, if I stay very close to $10.00 for ONE item, its FREE or almost free! I do this all the time and get some great quality gifts at JC Penney! During the holidays they really pump up the coupons!

As soon as you do, you will get an email for $5.00 off any $5.00 purchase (sometimes they come as a $10.00 off $10.00) and other specials!
Just like the JC Penney deal above, if you have a $5.00 off $5.00 coupon you could go into the store and purchase a small item in jewelry or even a shirt on an early bird sale or clearance for FREE as a gift! Kohl’s has been VERY GOOD to me during the holidays. I never let a $5.00 off $5.00 or a $10.00 off $10.00 coupon that I receive go to waste! You will want to sign up for this coupon for sure, trust me!

I will keep this post going each week with super deals as they pop up and ideas of items to purchase for Christmas gifts. Remember, DON’T be tempted to give the item to your children ahead of time. If you do, you will end up scrambling for something to give them at Christmas and spend frivolously, I have done it myself! Just like with couponing, once you have a plan and are strategic about what you are purchasing, it makes so much more sense!
