P.I.B. ALERT!!

Okay, so you all are asking yourselves, what is a P.I.B. alert right?  Well, there is no other way to put it in my mind other than to say a PAIN IN THE BUTT Alert!!  Every now and then a particular store gets annoying on their coupon acceptance, when that happens, we just call another store close by to make sure that they are still good to go and we shop at that store until things settle down at the annoying one.

Soooo.. here is our P.I.B. store for the day:

The Publix in the Villages by the hospital (the old Albertsons) is getting really weird. There is a new assistance manager that has been left in charge and has only been there for one week, she is a young girl.  Very nice, but apparently she has misinterpreted their coupon policy. She is under the impression that they are not allowed to take ONE PUBLIX COUPON and one MFG COUPON because she thinks that they are both manufacturers coupons.  UGH!

We heard about this and I personally went into the store to talk to her about it.  I explained that this is not how it works at Publix and pointed out that ALL stores (not just Publix) let you use a store coupon AND a manufacturers coupon on the same item.  Examples would be Winn-Dixie, Sweet Bay, Save-a-lot, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Kmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS… so WHY would Publix all of the sudden not allow it when that has been their thing for years.  She said that she would check it out.. but in the meantime.. this store wins the PIB award of this week!!

**I called all other surrounding stores and they all said that nothing has changed and that they will accept a store coupon (or competitor) and a manufacturers coupon on the same item.

Okay.. in 2nd place is what was usually one of my favorite stores.. the BELLEVIEW STORE.  This is a very loose 2nd place because they can be good at some times and they can be shaky at other times.  It all depends upon the manager.  If I were you, I would ask the customer service desk before shopping if anything has changed with their coupon acceptance and specifically ask if you are using one of those competitors that could go either way.  Just sayin….

I hope you all have a great weekend!  Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you were planning on going there!
