I would like to share a personal story with you all tonight and I feel in my heart that many of you may have experienced something similar in your lives and hope that this post will somehow inspire you.

Without going into too much detail on the particular circumstances, there have been two occasions in my life where I felt that God was nudging me to do something specific or to help someone and I didn’t do it.  I don’t know if it was because I was too insecure with myself and thought that it wouldn’t make a difference or just didn’t know what to say or how to do it so I stood still and did nothing.  I regret both of those events and think of them often and feel ashamed to know that I could have made a difference and did not.

After those two events weighing on my heart so heavily, I made a commitment that no matter what, if I felt that God was putting something on my heart to do something or I was put into a situation where I could do something, I would not hesitate and would do it immediately.  I honestly feel that there are times that we are meant to be at a specific place at a specific time to serve a specific purpose if that makes sense.  With that in mind, I think that me experiencing the financial crisis that I did several years ago which prompted me to investigate how to coupon led me to exactly where I am right at this moment inspiring all of you to learn to save and help your families.   I get embarrassed when others shine the glory on me, because I am just doing what I feel like I am being led to do and I find happiness in hearing how great you all are doing and how you all are reaching out to help others too.

So tonight, here is what is on my heart and what I strongly feel I need to express to you all.

I posted earlier on our facebook page about the Adamyk Family from Ocala and the loss of thier 29 month old son Caleb (you can read the story by clicking here ).  I have never met this family but have followed their journey through the newspaper stories and videos and just really felt that this family was needing prayers during this time.  They have two other children and have been out of work recently as they stayed by their son’s side in the hospital.  I can only imagine the heartache that Caleb’s Mother, Father and two brothers are enduring.

After posting about this on our facebook page, I was contacted by a friend of mine from Centerpoint Church in Ocala who knows this family personally.  I would like to ask any of you that are able to donate to this family from your stockpiles to please do so.  Anything would be greatly appreciated, food, health and beauty or household items.  They have two sons ages 7 and 12 as well.  This has been a long and emotional journey for this family and I feel that a generous outpouring of love and support would be wonderful.  If you are able, please bring your donations to Centerpoint Church on Silver Springs Blvd – 3318 East Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida (352)369-4422 as soon as possible.

I realize that there are many people out there hurting right now and so many stories about families in need, but I feel that God has put this family on my heart and I am asking that you all help me in my mission to make a difference if you are able.  If you are unable to give, then please pray for this family, that is just as good.

Thanks for allowing me to open my heart and thank you for reading this post.
