Giggles, Goofing off and Getting your deals!
As an adult we are conditioned to think that we have to be so serious all of the time. Why is that? When is it okay to just cut loose and laugh over silly things? I say the time is right now! Why not? The whole world could be crumbling around you, but if you can find something funny about the moment you are in, it somehow makes things just a little bit better.
In a funny way, couponing has brought out that same feeling of giddiness that I got when I was a little girl laughing with my bestie. When we all share our stories on our facebook page about how excited we got when we scored our deals or even the descriptions of the cranky puss cashier that we might have encountered it just makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. I have to say, I have had more fun laughing about our adventures than I have had in years!
Couponing can be fun! Not only are you saving a ton of money, but it really is fun! I don’t spend nearly as much time as I did in the beginning cutting coupons and getting my deals all together, but the time that I spent hanging out with Erica and Elaine (my daughter and my bestie) in those early days talking and laughing about what our reactions will be if our deal goes off as planned are priceless.
I guess what I am trying to say here is, enjoy the moment! Take this excitement and giddiness that you get through couponing and extend it into the rest of your life. I am sure that everyone around you has noticed a new hop in your step and an excitement that they haven’t seen in you in a while. Sure, some may think that you have gone over the edge, but who cares! Life really can be fun! I don’t know about you, but my life seems a lot more exciting when I am riding my overflowing grocery buggy through the parking lot to my car shouting SHOOPIE GOODNESS at the top of my lungs!!
Okay guys.. I need your help! Who is going to write the next article for the “Thursdays with Friends” segment? We all have a story to tell and I want to hear from you. I find you all so interesting and fun to talk with on our facebook page. Why not share your story? Tell me how you heard about us and what made you start couponing. Or what your childrens reaction has been to the abundance of free ramen noodle soups in your house or any other topic. I am all ears! Please email me your ideas at mycouponexpert@aol.com. Until next time…keep on clippin’!
