There are some good deals at Walgreens again this week! I know that many of you are frustrated with Walgreens right now. It seems that they are working on the problem of not having enough product in stock due to the number of couponers that are out there. If it is too frustrating, just lay low for a couple of weeks while they resolve this issue. It is across the nation and they are fully aware of the issues that the stores are having right now.
REMEMBER to take your WALGREENS PRINTABLE COUPON POLICY with you, trust me, it helps if there is any question from the cashier on coupon usage.
For the newbies, RR’s are
Register Rewards, they are in essence a reward that the manufacturer has
agreed to give you back if you purchase certain items from them. They
can be redeemed for other merchandise in the store. If you purchase the
same item that originally produced a Register Reward or another product
from the same manufacturer you usually will not receive another
Register Reward.
The deals below show
you how much the item is, which coupons to use, how much you will pay
out of pocket (OOP) and what reward (if any) you will get back. The
bottom line is often AFTER you get the register reward for that item. I
always suggest that when you first start shopping at Walgreens, you do
one of the “Rolling Scenarios” at the bottom of this post. This will
give you a good idea on how register rewards work and you will see for
yourself how much you can save at Walgreens. Try not to vary too much
off the track of the scenarios posted or you may end up not getting one
of the rewards that are mentioned.

ROLLING SCENARIO
Here are a few tips if you are going to start rolling your RRs. Just like Publix, the NUMBER of items should always match the NUMBER of
coupons — if not, you need a “filler” – preferably something inexpensive. In
ad coupons don’t count as coupons, so you just pick up some thing
inexpensive…..ie. something with a Walgreens in-ad coupon (like Paper
Towels, Pencils, Candy, etc). You can use one Manufacturer coupon +
IVC + in-ad coupon per item. Always try to hand over the MFR
coupons first, then Walgreens, then Register Rewards to pay.
Finally, keep in mind that Register Rewards are manufacturer
coupons, DO NOT use a RR from one item to purchase another item from the same manufacturer or you will not get another RR. If something is out of stock, ask for a raincheck. Thanks The Cents’able Shoppin!

Personally, when things start getting crazy, I usually just lay low for a couple of weeks and wait for the dust to clear and give them the opportunity to correct the issue. I think that this is exactly what will happen with Walgreens. Just try to have fun with your couponing and get the deals that you can get, trust me, if it is at Walgreens free, it will be somewhere else free too usually at some point so don’t worry.
