Whats coming up in June, July & August?

I thought you might like to have a heads up on what type of products usually go on sale during the next three months. 

Products cycle based upon what time of year it is and what holidays are during those months.

June

Its ALL about summertime!  Hot dogs, condiments, popsicles, ice cream and produce is usually abundant!  You will get some great deals on all of this and want to go ahead and stock up.  Several manufacturers will be running awesome deals with rebates (ConAgra & Nestle).  We got the best prices on grapes and watermelon for sure!  **As a matter of fact, there is a coupon in Publix right now to save $2.00 off watermelon when you buy potato chips.. see!  Some good paper product deals were out there too, I really stocked up on toilet paper during June.  That doesn’t come around often, so make sure you watch for the super duper deals!  We always get good deals on bandaids and ouchie ointments, but summertime definately produces some stock up deals on these things as well!

July

During this month you will see a bunch of great deals from Kraft such as mac n cheese and also GREAT cereal deals.  Remember, this is during the summer when children are home from school so STOCK UP for when school starts too!  I always watch the expiration dates and purchase the one’s that are the farthest out for longer shelf life.  We stocked up on Ranch Dressing, Heinz, Hellmann’s Mayonaise & several varieties of BBQ Sauce during July last year.  There were TONS of coupons out there, everything from traditional insert coupons, tearpads, peelies and printables.  When you see these are printable, go ahead and get yours for the stock up sales!  ALL summer produce was in full swing at this point with great prices.  You can continue to get great deals on hot dogs and frozen goods thru this month.  Erica loaded up on capri-suns and poweraid drinks this time last year.  I think we were getting the capri-sun boxes for $.50 if I remember right!  You will also start to see some deep deep discounts on school supplies, only buy the things that are super cheap.. the good deals are still to come in August.

August

This is the time of year when Kellogg’s starts their “Fuel for School” rebate program.  Everything KELLOGG’s was unbelievably cheap or FREE with coupons!  I am terrible about rebates, but Elaine took my receipts and proof of purchases and made out like a bandit!  Back to school items such as breakfast bars and fruit chewies were on sale really cheap or free.  We stocked up on peanut butter.  I remember the small jars ended up being free with coupons so we bought a case.  We dontated plenty of it and are on our last few jars now. School supplies are in FULL SWING and we were getting them by the bags full at Walgreens and CVS.  It took some planning and really paying attention to your rolling scenarios, but we got most of our supplies free by using the store’s reward bucks to continue paying for the next weeks supplies.  I never ran out of anything all year and we felt fortunate to be able to donate a bunch of school supplies to the “stuff the bus” campaign to help children out who otherwise couldn’t afford to buy school supplies. 

I hope this helps you all to get a general idea of the deals that come out in the summer.  We had a blast at Target last year in July as well because they start their semi-annual toy clearance!  It was UNBELIEVABLE!  They actually issued games and toy coupons for $5.00 off with unlimited print and then put many toys and games on clearance for $5.00 and under!  WHAT?!  We were shocked, they were FREE and some were allowing overage of almost $2.00 on each game purchased!  We started our Christmas shopping in July with very little money out of our pocket!
