Frugal St. Patrick’s Day Candle Holder
Supplies needed:
Green glass goblet
Assorted scrapbook paper
Silk clovers
Glue
Scissors
As mentioned, we were able to find all of these materials at our local dollar store, a Dollar Tree store to be exact. Use whatever scrapbook paper scraps you have, or use the selection at your local dollar or craft store. You can typically find these for just pennies a piece.
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting a two inch thick strip of scrapbook paper. Wrap it around the glass and secure with glue.
2. Cut a second strip, this time one that is thinner, about half the size of your original strip. Wrap it around the glass and secure it with glue.
3. Snip off a few of the silk clovers from the stems. Glue them to the front of the glass.
4. You can now fill the glass with a filler such as glass rocks or sand. Insert a battery operated votive and watch the whole piece glow! Battery operated votives are best as they help you avoid any fire hazards.
