You may have heard all of the facts about smiles. For example, did you know that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile? Oh, and that when you smile your brain releases feel good chemicals to the rest of your body? It’s true. Smiling is easy, effortless, and can improve the way you feel in seconds. So why on Earth aren’t we smiling all day long? For today’s Monday inspiration, lets behold the power of a smile.
You have homework this week my friends. I promise, it will be easy and I won’t grade you on it. Whew! Your homework this week is to make a conscious effort three times per day to smile. You can do this when you are talking to your co workers, waiting in traffic, or waiting at the bank. Try it when you feel like doing it the LEAST. Then, I want you to make note of something. I want you to notice how it makes you feel.
But guess what else? Your smile will make others feel pretty amazing too. Try saying things with a smile. Try speaking with a smile on your face. It is hard to do all the time, I know. But just put forth the effort and see how your words are received by the person you are speaking to.You will be amazed.
When we smile, we can truly change the environment around us. We can change how we feel and project on others. Who knows, maybe your smile will be the only one your bank teller or store cashier will see all day. Your smile can truly make a difference, don’t for a second underestimate it.
So get those mouths smile ready. You have been challenged to three smiles a day. Then, report back would you? Let me know how you felt, and how it felt to those around you. Share with us on the Facebook page or Community chat page.
Get smiling, friends!
